This is a good article! --Teenwriter 16:58, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What about Bryan Singer and Oldman???? They've always worked together including the new Superman! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.156.134.235 (talkcontribs)

What about Bryan Singer and John Ottman!!! They've worked together since pre-Usual Suspects and are doign the new Superman together. HIGHLY OVERLOOKED —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.156.134.235 (talkcontribs)

Feel free to edit the article to add this information. Nationalparks 06:20, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steven Spielberg and John Williams

I'm quite sure the comment about Steven Spielberg's movies all being scored by John Williams except one is a downright false statement. Check IMDB for his movies and check who wrote the music. (Twilight Zone: The Movie? The Color Purple?)

Twilight Zone was co directed with other directors. Not sure about The Color Purple. Nationalparks 06:21, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Technically speaking it wasn't so much co-directed as consisted of independently directed segments. Still, it's worth including. I've read that Quincy Jones insisted on working on Color Purple's score. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.185.12.23 (talk) 01:27, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ray Harryhausen and Bernard Herrmann

Even though Harryhausen is basically a special effects artist rather than a director his films are most commonly thought of as "Ray Harryhausen films" rather than by the director. That said, Bernard Herrmann scored four of Harryhausen's films: The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The Three Worlds of Gulliver, Mysterious Island, and Jason and the Argonauts. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.150.157.98 (talk) 19:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Walt Disney Pictures and Sherman Brothers

The Sherman Brothers wrote songs for several Disney moveis under different directors. I decided to list one entry under "Walt Disney Pictures" and one under "Wolfgan Reitherman" (the Disney director for whom the Shermans seem to have done the most songs). Does this make sense to people? Jkisch 06:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Riddley Scott and Vangelis

And, What do you say about Scott and Vangelis? They worked together in "Blade Runner" and "1492 Conquest of Paradise", BOTH SCORES ARE SO FAMOUS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.134.69.125 (talk) 16:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Guillermo Del Toro's collaborations

Guys, what do you about Del Toro's main collaborations? When he started to work in Hollywood he made Mimic with composer Marco Beltrami, and since then they have worked together in Blade II and Hellboy. And, of course, let's not forget Del Toro's work with Javier Navarrete in the Spanish-language films The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth, which earned Navarrete's nominations to a Grammy and an Oscar. Anyway, I think both are talented composers when it comes to work with someone like Del Toro. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.100.77.200 (talk) 17:48, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quantify Collaborations

Does two scores together indicate "frequent collaboration?" What is the appropriate extent required for this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ridesim (talkcontribs) 09:04, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Two scores is enough to warrant a collaboration. Adervae (talk) 21:22, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Organization

This page is not organized properly. Please put the list back into alphabetical order by last name of director, and if the same director is with different composers, then sort it by last name of composer. Please make sure that any new additions to the list are placed in the appropriate place. Thank you! Adervae (talk) 21:22, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary details

This page is simply a list of director and composer collaborations. If you feel the need to add any more information other than what films they worked on, please make a unique page regarding the collaborators of add the information to the film's article. Thank you!
