Sheldon T. Mills

Sheldon Tibbetts Mills was an American diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Ecuador (1954-1956), Afghanistan (1956-1959), and Jordan (1959-1961).[1]
Mills entered the foreign service in 1927, and held postings in Bolivia, Chile, India, and Brazil before being named Ambassador to Ecuador in 1954. He died in 1988, at the age of 83, and was survived by his wife Francesca and their three daughters.[1]
