Is it true that the recipient must pay for the costs of presenting this award? (OTOH, I can understand making the honoree pick up the tab for the banquet; it's an effective way to limit the number of attendees who must be fed. :-)

Personally, I have neither the time nor interest to research this myself, but it was mentioned in the Award article, which is what brought me here in the first place ... I found and added a link to the official website, but that's as much lipstick as I feel like putting on this pig. —72.75.70.147 01:16, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The "Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany" is different from the "German Design Award". It's TWO prizes. --Thomas Maier (talk) 15:21, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article should either be removed (is now Design_Award_Germany) or re-written for the other prize from http://www.german-design-council.de/nc/designpreise/german-design-award/2014.html. --Thomas Maier (talk) 15:38, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
