Brimstone and Treacle is the soundtrack for the 1982 film adaptation of the play Brimstone and Treacle. The film starred Sting in a leading role, and he wrote or co-wrote the majority of the songs on the soundtrack. His cover of "Spread a Little Happiness" reached number 16 in the UK charts,[1] and the title track was awarded the 1984 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
