CommWorks Corporation was the subsidiary of 3Com Corporation sold to UTStarcom, Inc. of Alamedia, California in 2003. The CommWorks subsidiary was based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and developed wireline telecommunications and wireless infrastructure technologies. Many of the remaining employees of US Robotics were also transfered with the sale.
