Shai Gabso (born in [[[July]] 20, 1984 in Rishon Lezion, Israel) is an Israeli singer, song writer and music producer, known for participating the first season of the Israeli version for "American Idol" (Which called in Israel "Kochav Nolad" - A Star is Born) in 2003, and winning the third place. Later on, in 2004, Gabso was the first of the competitors who came out with his own Album.
Personal Life
Gabso was born in Rishon Lezion, Israel in 1984. In 2002 he joined the IDF. In 2003, after receiving permission from the army, Gabso signed up to join the Israeli version of "American Idol" on its first season. Gabso ended up 3rd place, receiving a one single contract. Gabso considered himself religious as of the age of 12, until 2012, in which he decided to lay off the religion. In 2013 Gabso gave an interview to the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Acharonot" in which he said "I've been with them all", regarding sexual orientation, and gave full description of using drugs, having gay relations and more.
Album
"Arim Roshi" (My Head Up High)
Arim Roshi is the first album of gabso, including 3 singles, all straight to #1 on the official Israeli chart. As of 2013, the album sold over 30,000 copies, which considered a success in Israel and rewarding "Golden Album".
"Bimkomi" (Instead of Me)
Bimkomi is the second album by Gabso, including 3 singles. Among the singles there's also a song written in memory of Liat Gabay, an Israeli soldier who was killed in a terror attack by a bomber in Afula.
"Caravan"
Caravan is the third and so far the last Album made by Gabso. The album is a cooperation with an Israeli band named "The Mirrors".
