York High School is a high school, located in Yorktown, Virginia. The school was opened in 1954 and currently has approximatly 1000 students.

History

York High school was constructed in 1954 and it is in the York County School Division. Later came the three other YCSD high schools, Tabb High School, Bruton High School, and Grafton High School.

The school is located in Yorktown, Virgina, near Surrender Field and the Yorktown Battlegrounds where the last, decisive battle of the Revolutionary War was fought.

York's greatest alumnus is a man who goes by the name of Daddy Longfellow, or Craig Gilmore for short. He once bragged about having an award named after him for shagging the most students in his class, but this was later discovered to be gibberish. He is currently managing a co-ed softball team in Northern Virginia.
