Natalie Evamarie Nelson[3] (born September 19, 1984),[1] professionally known as Natalie Eva Marie, is an American professional wrestler and fashion model.[2] She is currently signed to WWE and is featured on Total Divas under the ring name Eva Marie.[4]
Early life
Marie was born in Beverly Hills, California and was raised in the Bay Area, California in the city of Concord, California.[2][1] She is of Mexican and Italian descent.[4][2] She has 3 older brothers Neal, Nate, and Nick.[2][1] Her mother, Josie, is Mexican, and father, Barry, is Italian.[2][1] Marie played soccer for California State University, Fullerton until she started modeling, acting, and doing promotional work.[2] She graduated with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Human resource.[2][1]

Total Divas (2013–present)
In May 2013, WWE announced a partnership with E! Network over reality show entitled Total Divas that would begin to air in July. The show aired on July 28th. It would feature behind the scenes footage of select WWE Divas and a look into their personal lives which would feature Marie along with Jo-Jo Offerman, Natalya, The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) and The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi).[5][6]
Marie made her debut on the July 1, 2013 episode of Raw, in an backstage segment along with Jo-Jo Offerman, Natalya, The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) and The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi).[7] Marie was announced as Natalya's protégé on the July 4 episode of WWE Superstars, during a match in which she accompanied Natalya to the ring where she defeated Naomi whom was accompanied by fellow Funkadactyl Cameron.[8][9]
On the July 22 episode of Raw, Eva Marie along with the cast of Total Divas appeared on Miz TV, where she slapped Jerry Lawler claiming to make a name for herself, establishing herself as a heel in the process.[10] On the August 5 edition of RAW, she, The Bella Twins, and her former buddy, Natalya were featured in a backstage segment. Eva was complimenting Brie on her win against Natalya. Brie then said an offensive comment to Natalya, which cause Natalya to slap her across the face, then leave.
Other media
Marie featured in an Fitness Blowout infomercial.[2] In October, she was a part of Marino Fitness Campaign Booked and a Sketchers commercial.[2] Marie was featured on SportsIllustrated.com as Lovely Lady of the day in December 2012.[2] Marie has appeared on several magazine covers including Ruckus, Import Tuner Magazine and Glam Fit Magazine.[2] Marie won the 2012 Powertec Model and several fashion competitions.[4][2] She has modeled for Red Chapter Clothing and appeared on the cover of several magazines.[2][1]
Personal life
Marie's favorite food is the candy Hot Tamales.[1] Marie describes herself as San Francisco Giants fanatic.[4] She is currently engaged to her boyfriend, Jonathan Coyle. Their engagement was featured on Total Divas.
