National final

The Yugoslav Final was held on March 12 in Ljubljana, hosted by Misa Molk & Bogdan Barovic. There were originally meant to be 16 songs but one of them - "Noc u suzama" (Night in tears) by Jasna Gospic had to be withdrawn as the singer was ill in hospital. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 8 regional juries.In every TV center was the 3 members of the jury who voted grades 1,2,3,5 and 7.

The winning entry was "Mangup," performed by Srebrna Krila, composed by Rajko Dujmić and written by Stevo Cvikić.
