Tarumanagara University is a university in Jakarta, Indonesia and one of the oldest private universities in Indonesia. The university has 4 campuses in Jakarta. Campus I (main campus) and campus II is located in the metropolitan area of West-Jakarta, the campus III is in South-Jakarta. The future campus IV site is in Karawaci (a satellite town 30 kilometers from West-Jakarta).
Logo and philosophy
The entire logo represents the manifestation of Tarumanagara University determination, which is to manage an institution of higher education based on Pancasila and the Constitution of 1945, and to encourage the development of skilled and virtuous scholars and experts. The descriptions on Tarumanagara University symbol are as follows:
- A furnace with smoldering fire symbolizes the education spirit in Tarumanagara University, whereas students are shaped to overcome all the challenges in the changing of time.
- The flame that rises to the top symbolizes the spirit to achieve high idealism, whereas the lateral flame symbolizes the harmony and balance, as well as attachment to the aspired goal.
- A crown at the top symbolizes scholarship and nobleness.
- A pentagonal-shaped perimeter symbolizes that all activities undertaken in Tarumanagara University are based on Pancasila framework.

Tarumanagara presents reliable and well-known reputation for accounting, management, psychology, medical, and engineering faculty. In public survey about their favorite college, UNTAR always presents in the top 10 list. The accounting faculty has win many awards between other colleges.
