Tupac Mantilla

Tupac Mantilla is a Grammy-nominated percussionist from Bogotá, Colombia (born October 21st, 1978 - Age 34). He is the founder and director of the Global Percussion Network PERCUACTION and the director of the percussion group Tekeyé. His eclectic work as a percussionist ranges from his Solo Percussion Project to collaborations with artists such as Julian Lage, Danilo Perez, Bob Moses, Medeski, Martin and Wood and Zakir Hussain (musician). As a scholar, he is associated with institutions such as Berklee College of Music through the Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI), Harvard University and Stanford University through the Stanford Jazz Workshop.
