DYK

Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Starets, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently-created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

To violinist

Opps, pressed enter, and the computer posted it! Anyway, I'm typing a reply to your message...it will be coming soon...<rolls eyes>--ViolinGirl 19:07, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so what I was going to say was, I was just practicing, and I don't know what's up...I'm working on relaxing my left hand, and now I'm noticing that I get more harmonics (when I don't want them)! It feels like it's something out of my control, like maybe the strings are getting false or something! I just changed them a little bit ago (to Obligato), so they shouldn't be false. I looked at my fingertips and they are COVERED IN BLACK whatever junk! Hmm...any advice? BTW, I haven't played much orchestral music yet...some. Like, Greig's Wedding Day at Trouldhaugen. Have you heard that one?--ViolinGirl 19:11, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Ha ha ha! Well...I haven't quite decided which strings I like the best. Dominants are my "usual" ones, but I'm in the middle of trying several different kinds. I LOVED the Obligatos at first, but I'm not sure right now. I thought maybe it had something to do with rosin, or the bow, or something...but I'm not sure. Anyway...--ViolinGirl 19:27, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT??! Bony protrusion below the wrist?--ViolinGirl 19:29, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm...I've never noticed anywhere on ANYONE, If I'm understand completely what you're saying. I notice on my right hand where I hold the bow, on the index finger, right above where the bow stick is in contact with the finger, is a small bump...--ViolinGirl 19:32, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
:) OH. That thing. I thought EVERYONE had those thing. I wonder why they would be more noticeable on violinist? Do you have the bow-hickey-ish thing I mentioned?--ViolinGirl 19:41, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Slav stuff

True...Slavs are a rocking bunch of people...The Great Gavini обсуждение

Thanks for the joke...

Thanks, friend!

Hello, Ivan: Nice joke you got there! It's always nice to meet a fellow musician and string player online, especially in Wikipedia. Drop me a note if you ever feel like chattin' up some sekrit musik stuf :P! Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 04:55, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I've noticed that you've edited articles pertaining to the Eastern Orthodox Church. I wanted to extend an invitation to you to join the WikiProject dedicated to organizing and improving articles on the subject, which can be found at: WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy. This WikiProject was begun because a need was perceived to raise the level of quality of articles on Wikipedia which deal with the Eastern Orthodox Church.

You can find information on the project page about the WikiProject, as well as how to join and how to indicate that you are a member of the project. Additionally, you may be interested in helping out with our collaboration of the month. I hope you'll consider joining and thank you for your contributions thus far! —A.S. Note on adding full Eastern Orthodox Project to your watchlist

This is a note for members of the Eastern Orthodox Project: Since the project's main page has been converted to a portal-style box format, each of the boxes is actually its own page (you can see the page outside its box by clicking the 'Edit' link on any often the section boxes on the project page, which takes you to the edit page for its contents). Because of this, updates to individual box contents will not necessarily show up on editors' watchlists, if you've only got the main project page watched.

In order to keep up to date with all updates to the Project and its pages, I'd recommend adding each subpage to your watchlists. These are:

If you add all of the above pages to your watchlist, you should be informed whenever any part of the WikiProject Eastern Christianity is edited/updated. To discuss this, please see the relavent section of the Project's talk page. —Antonios Aigyptostalk 09:31, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are cordially invited to participate in WikiProject Christianity

The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. You are receiving this invitation because you are a member of one of the related Christianity Projects and I thought that you might be interested in this project also - Tinucherian (talk) 14:42, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
