History

The history section gives no indication of which achievements relate to Motorola and which relate specifically to Freescale Semiconductor. For example, the MC6800 and MC68000 mentioned herein are routinely described as being Motorola processors (and if so don't belong on this page).

A lot of the stuff that's said here is going to need citations for this to become more than just a stub. Motorola played a huge role in early home computing.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of this was copy pasted off a corporate press release, it's written in that glowing, marketing style. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.59.13.135 (talk) 04:38, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fab-less?

Does Freescale semiconductor have their own foundry/fab? Or are they fabless? It'd be good to include this info if anyone knows it. MOXFYRE (contrib) 00:08, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They have several of their own fabs. http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/homepage.jsp?nodeId=0ST2982 shows fabs and other manufacturing locations. Neier 12:03, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MRAM

This operation was spun off on 11 June 2008 into a separate company called Everspin. http://www.eetasia.com/ART_8800528389_499486_NT_49445c1e.HTM 24.28.16.125 (talk) 03:47, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
