Spiral Galaxy M66 (also known as Messier Object 66, Messier 66, M66, or NGC 3627) is a spiral galaxy in the Leo constellation. It was discovered by Charles Messier in 1780. M66 forms a conspicuous triplet of galaxies, the Leo Triplett or M66 group, along with its neighbors the Spiral Galaxy M65 and the Spiral Galaxy NGC 3628. M66 is the brightest of the three.
