Chris Niosi (born December 31, 1988 in Northport, New York) is an American animator, writer, director and voice actor. He is best known creating several different independent animations including several parodies, including the parody series Go! Go! Parody Rangers, as well as currently being the director and writer of his own animated web series, TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise.
Career
Chris Niosi began drawing at a very young age. When he attended high school, he began experimenting through the realms of animation and at first started with sprite animation. By simply learning how to use Flash, he created his first animated series called TTA: TvTome Adventures, along with his friend Mike Luckas, in 2004. The series lasted until late 2007 when he cancelled the series, wanting to delve into hand-drawn animation as he was graduating into college.
He attended the New York School of Visual Arts from 2007 until 2011. Around that time he began working with other flash artists and voice actors and created parodies during his time in college, most notably Go! Go! Parody Rangers and N1N10doh!, and Brawl Taunts. He also began collaborating with other artists by lending his voice into other animated shorts and video games. His first professional voice acting job started when he was cast as the voice of Khoury in Pokémon DP: Galactic Battle. He soon became the voice of Detective Mikolaj Gurski in the independent video game series of Jisei, Kansei, and Yousei, as well as Yujiro Hattori in Bakuman. He also became a character animator for the video game Skullgirls.
After Niosi graduated from college in 2011, he released the first episode of his new series TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise which included fully redesigned, animated, and voiced characters of TTA and has since released eight episodes. The series is still currently in production.
