Karen Hampton is an American fabric and fiber craftsperson. Inspired by a quilt show, she started quilting before taking classes in surface design. Hampton's dying techniques include batik, rozome breakdown screen printing, discharged dye, and stamping with copper stamps. She also uses "snow" dying.[1]

Hampton is part of the Indiana Artisan program and a member of the Professional Art Quilt Alliance, Surface Design Association, and the International Quilt Association.[1]

She apprenticed with Ida Grae, author of Nature's Colors and one of the original members of Baulines Craft Guild.[2] Her house is decorated with wall hangings including a Korean pojagi patchwork.[1]
