Chantal Strand, (born October 15, 1987 in Vancouver, British Columbia), is a Canadian actress, singer, and writer.[1]

Biography

Breaking into the business at a young age, Chantal started off doing stunts on Look Who’s Talking Now with her twin sister, Michelle.[2] After being urged to pursue acting, Chantal moved into principle and leading roles, working on projects including The Outer Limits, The Commish, and Air Bud throughout her elementary and high school years. In 2010, Chantal graduated from Capilano University with an Associate of Arts degree and then transferred to the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.[3]

Career

Chantal is most famous for her various voice-over roles in such popular cartoon shows as Dragon Tales, Hamtaro, and Sabrina: The Animated Series, in which she played the characters of Gem, Pi, and Bernard.[4] She is also well known for playing Lacus Clyne in Gundam SEED, and Gundam SEED Destiny, in which she voiced both Lacus Clyne and Meer Campbell. Her range has allowed for a portrayal of diverse characters and she has been known to provide a variety of accents. Chantal attended the 2002 Leo Awards when she was nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a Feature Length Drama. In June of 2002, Chantal received honors for contributing to the Emmy award-winning program The New Adventures of Madeline, going on to play the title character in two feature films.[5] Chantal is now currently working on the popular television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
