Karnali Bridge The asymmetric, single-tower, cable-stayed bridge is the longest of its type in the world and represents a unique international collaboration. A bridge spanned the longest River Karnali between the Kailali District and Bardiya District of western Nepal. A cable-stayed single tower bridge was constructed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan and inaugurated after six years of its constructing date by late Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
Location
The bridge lies in Mahendra Highway, which is the longest highway of Nepal and connects Kailali and Bardiya district. The bridge site is 500 km from the capital city of Kathmandu, and 25 km from the closest airport facilities in Tikapur. An unique design of the bridge and its beautiful location has made it one of the tourist attraction for domestic and international visitors.
A bridge has a really beautiful location in Eastern Region of Nepal. A nearest city of Karnali Bridge is Chisapani which is one of the famous and beautiful town in Far-Western Region, Nepal. Thousands of tourist comes here yearly to watch its design and explore Chisapani bazaar.
