KOSW-LP (91.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Variety format. Licensed to Ocean Shores, Washington, USA. The station is currently owned by City of Ocean Shores.[1]

History

The station was started entirely by volunteers of the Ocean Shores community. The radio station's idea was to inform the visitors and residents of Ocean Shores of events and other important information. KOSW-LP is owned by the city of Ocean Shores. The radio station format (originally programmed by Ty Rosenow) is a variety format and is still completely run by volunteers.

Program Director Tony Byers and his wife Sacha Chevalier, have programmed over 4,000 songs into the station's computer. KOSW features Oldies, Classic Rock, Big Band, Jazz, Country/Cajun, Classical, Opera, Celtic and Old Time Radio. Its many volunteer DJs play a variety of great music, as well as reading Public Service Announcements and doing live remote broadcasts for community events.
