Zig and Sharko is a French animated series of 156 episodes of 7 minutes directed by animation studios Xilam, known for their animated series Space Goofs and Oggy and the Cockroaches. The series was broadcast from December 21, 2010 on Canal+
Characters of Zig and Sharko
- Zig, a hyena living in a lone volcano island, he tries to eat Marina.
- Marina, a mermaid, who has a house in the bottom of the sea, but stays at daytime on a small rock.
- Sharko, a shark, who protects Marina from Zig and Neptune.
- Bernie, a hermit crab, who helps Zig. Indian children know Bernie as Circuit, as he is called by this name in Nickelodeon India.
- King Neptune, king of the sea, tries to charm Marina. He is known as Mutton Ki Dukan in Nickelodeon India.
- Narrator, Appears only in Hindi version. Adds jokes to the scene, making it more funny.
- Crazy Dolphin, a fool dolphin who appears in two episodes - "Waterski Hit" and "The Return of the Crazy Dolphin". In the end of both episode, he blows the island with mines and kill Zig, Sharko, Marina and himself.
- Survivor, a caveman appears in the episode "A Lovesick Survivor" and he had a big crush on Marina, but he also had a fear of Sharko and he was a rival of Zig. He also had cameo appearance like "At Your Service" and "The Tiny Tyrant" in TV.
Hindi Version
The Hindi version of the show is aired on Cartoon Network and as opposed to the normal silent show the characters have the following voices:
