Quinkana is an extinct mekosuchine crocodile that lived inAustralia around 1,600,000 to 40,000 years ago in the Pleistocene.

Unlike modern Australian crocodiles, Quinkana lived on land and had blade-like teeth for slicing through animal flesh. Its long legs show it was probably a fast runner. In hunting Qunkana would tire out its prey of mammals, birds, and other reptiles in long chases. It was very large, being about 22 ft (7 m) long. Fossils were found in Bluff Downs, Queensland, Australia.
