Andy Barlow (producer)
Andy Barlow[1] is a British producer and artist most famous for his work with chilled downtempo electronic band Lamb which he co-founded with singer Lou Rhodes.[2]
During a five-year hiatus from Lamb between 2004–09, Barlow released solo work under the alias Hipoptimist and also spent time collaborating with other artists, including band projects Hoof and Luna Seeds. Lamb reformed in 2009 and the duo released their fifth studio album 5 in 2011, produced by Barlow. During 2012, he continued to hone his skills as a producer working with The Ramona Flowers on their debut album due for release in 2013.
Barlow has also completed his first full-length solo project as LOWB,[3] releasing the album Leap and the Net Will Appear (3 June 2013) and the EP Inward Outburst (19 May 2013) on label Distiller Records.[4]
In March 2013, David Gray tweeted that Barlow was in the studio producing Gray's new music and Barlow confirmed this during a live LOWB session/interview on BBC Radio 2's Dermot O'Leary show[5] in May 2013.
