Sir Thomas Vyner, 1st Baronet

Sir Thomas Vyner, 1st Baronet (1588–1665) was Lord Mayor of London in 1653.

Vyner came to London in 1600 and was brought up by Samuel Moore a goldsmith. He was alderman of London 1646–1660, sheriff in 1648, and Lord Mayor in 1653. He was knighted in 1664 and created baronet in 1661. He did much government banking business from James I's to Charles II's time and was a benefactor of the Goldsmiths Company.[1]
