Slovenly is a word I find myself using quite a bit at the moment. Slovenly is what I think of anybody who leaves a message here about an article and fails to provide a wikilink to the article. How do you expect me to read the article if you don't link to it? Even if the article has been deleted, you should still link to it.
I reserve the right to ignore any message which does not provide links where appropriate, has no heading, is in the wrong place on this page or has not been signed with ~~~~.
And if that sounds like a grumpy old man, it's because I am ...
Hello, RHaworth. Another administrator, Soumyasch, deleted Aiden Dillard; could you please restore it to User:Launchballer/Aiden Dillard because he directed Meat Weed Madness? Soumyasch, despite stating that he is 'almost retired', he is clearly fully retired as he has not edited in over six months. Thank you.--Launchballer 13:57, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

User:Jodiemcneill
Hello, Sorry, I'm really new to this Wikipedia thing, but I read that I had to create something on my page to declare my COI, which I did, but it's now been deleted as being 'Blatant Advertising'. How do I declare potential COI by stating my role in an organisation without it being deleted? Jodiemcneill (talk) 22:39, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- I have to agree with you. Page restored. I insist that any user should be allowed an external link to their personal website - otherwise my own user page might be come under attack! A user page should be in the first person - third person looks stilted and may be one reason that your page was tagged for deletion. A user page should also state what you do do on Wikipedia.
- I ask Uncle Milty (talk · contribs), if you are still not happy with the page: a) change its content or, if that is not enough for you, b) take it to MfD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:15, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- I apologize. More than 99% of the time when a new user makes that first edit and it's to create a user page with an external link, that link is a spam link. I got this one wrong. I didn't delete the page, but merely flagged it for further review by administrators. I meant no harm and did not intend to alarm a new user who joined WP with good intentions. --| Uncle Milty | talk | 14:27, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, I too should apologise for mindlessly following Uncle Milty's suggestion without reviewing it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:33, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Emir & Frozen Camels
Several time I tried to create Wikipedia page for very famous band Emir & Frozen Camels but I guess I did something wrong. I really don't know what I did wrong but I'm asking you to help me, because this band deserve to be on Wikipedia, really. Band just received Wikipedia from Turkvizyon song contest director asking bend how can he find Emir & Frozen Camels on Wikipedia to connect their Wikipedia info and page with bend's. But we didn't know what's answer and what to answer them. This is their Wikipedia page and as you see they mentioned Emir & Frozen Camels band but under name of band there is no link, unfortunately: Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Türkvizyon Song Contest. Also band is mentioned here: Türkvizyon 2013. Please, return us back article we put about band Emir & Frozen Camels here and you deleted or teach us how to put it on. It's very important to us. Thank you ahead, Nail Kunsa NailKunsa (talk) 23:13, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- What on earth! Why are you giving me raw links to en.m.wikipedia.org when you should be using wikilinks? Don't tell me "under name of band there is no link" - create the link for goodness sake. What are you talking about when you say "several times" - you have made just one attempt and it has never been deleted. We would prefer you to wait until someone with no COI thinks the band is notable and writes about it but since you have created an AfC draft, submit it and see what happens. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:09, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Request to restore
Hi RHaworth, I just noticed you have deleted my photo File:Armed Police Force of Nepal logo.jpg. I humbly request to restore it as I want to add the tag suggested. Thanks Ashishlohorung (talk) 18:14, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- The file I deleted was a copy of File:Armed Police Force of Nepal.jpg. If you actually have a logo file, upload it but note that JPG format is likely to be inappropriate - use PNG or SVG format. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:24, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Why did you ban User:Eternal-Entropy ? -- Ne0 (talk) 17:19, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- The account is not (yet) banned, merely blocked because it a second account of yours and I see no justification for you having more than one account. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:24, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
It is perfectly within Wikipedia rules to have multiple accounts, please unblock this account. -- Ne0 (talk) 07:06, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- Is it hell! That account was blocked as a sockpuppet and therefore cannot be unblocked.--Launchballer 13:18, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- It only becomes sock puppetry when a new account is used with malice aforethought, eg. to circumvent an account block. Multiple accounts are allowed but before I unblock, I would like to know why Ne0 needs a second account. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:29, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Restore Order of the Federal Republic
Would you consider restoring Order of the Federal Republic? This is the highest distinction awarded by Nigeria. I have rounded up sources to add to it if you will restore, with its relevant history. Thanks. EricSerge (talk) 03:04, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. Also A7 was not applicable as a deletion reason. But I zapped it without hesitation - how on earth can article survive for 2½ years with a total absence of references? Restored to User:EricSerge/Order of the Federal Republic. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:29, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- I think that editor made at least one other questionable speedy deletion request as evidenced on his talk page. Thanks much! EricSerge (talk) 22:39, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Birdback
Deleted page due to missing indication of importance or significance of the subject. Thanks for pointing out that I did something wrong with my new Birdback page. I have been using wikipedia a lot, but just recently started contributing. I noticed that one of the new pages I created was deleted for the reason (A7: Article about a company, corporation or organization, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject). Would be great if you could give me some advice on how to improve it and resubmit it. My thought was to do a new draft in my sandbox that can be reviewed. My question is how can I get back the original version of the page. Is it correct to use requests for undeletion in order to get the original content back so I can do a new draft in my sandbox or should I go about it differently. Best, Willy.pucat (talk) 13:56, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- Advice? Is it possible that the words "missing indication of importance or significance of the subject" suggest nothing to you? Read this. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:29, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the email. I'll improve according to this. What is best practice. Is it fine if I add references and notes, and submit it again or do you prefer that I make a draft you can review first ? — Willy.pucat (talk) 15:22, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
- Re-submit via AfC. That way, when it is rejected, it will still be visible for six months. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:30, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Done, Thank you for the help. Time to start writing another article. Willy.pucat (talk) 17:16, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Neptune Pine smartwatch
Back in January, you guys deleted an article called Neptune Pine stating that it wasn't notable at the time. Now the said product has recently raised $270K in the first 3 days of its Kickstarter campaign, and the story has been covered by numerous media outlets such as FOX, Huffington Post, Globe & Mail, CBC, Global, TechCrunch, etc., especially regarding the founder, Simon Tian, a 19-year old college dropout that founded the company. Tian is now considered an internet sensation in Canada, especially in Quebec, as Neptune Pine has become the most funded crowd funded project in Quebec history. I think this qualifies as notability and the page needs to be restored and content needs to be rewritten with recent sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Baclavalucas (talk • contribs) 07:52, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
- I am minded to block you as a sock puppet of Symontian (talk · contribs). Please read this. I might reconsider your request if it came from an established editor and not someone who clearly considers themself an outsider - "you guys". But even then we should note the comment made by the last contributor to the AfD discussion and wait until the product is actually on sale and has been reviewed by reliable sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:55, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

I guess i was supposed to roll over and kiss your ass in fear of you? and if you are so right why are you removing my comments about you being rude? and ytou call it blunt, you dont know me well enough to be blunt in your first conversation with me. My comments were in direct response to your rude comments on my talk page, in life you should learn how to talk to people nicely, I really do not care who you think you are, nor how long you have been wiki what ever, a certain ammount or courtesy and politeness when communicating will not hurt you, getting a fellow buddy Launchballer to back you up, does not change anything, be polite, it costs you nothing. So if you cannot take it, don't give it. If I don't know some thing, being rude to me will not make me listen to you or your Launchballer, cos the only thing you can and know how to do is to threaten a block, you came on my talk page remember? kindly stay off it in future until you learn how to speak to people with manners, your talk page give examples of your rudeness, if you are not a dictator don't speak like one ThePageantGenie (talk) 12:24, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

To be honest I'm a little confused
Hi RH. Back on the 9th you deleted my PalComix draft. Not calling good or bad move on it but I wanted to know what made you think it qualified for G11? If I remember correctly it was originally capped as A7 by User:JohnCD and I asked him for it userfied. And I don't exactly have a CSD Warning on my talk either about it so I'm also wondering, what led to a G11? MM (Report findings) (Past espionage) 18:53, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- The article had been userfied at your request but eight months later not a shred of evidence of notability had been added. If G11 was inappropriate, then "stale draft" certainly was appropriate and I allow G13 even if there is no AfC tag. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:44, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Guess i'll look into WP:REFUND if I find the inspiration to go at it again, heck all I did for it was do a google search and see what grinds up, given the nature though it probably wouldn't have drawn much on books. Fair call, No Complaints. MM (Report findings) (Past espionage) 19:44, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
What are you doing?
Why did you delete Coat of arms of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham? Arms Jones (talk) 23:13, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
- The version I deleted was one sentence and the db tag was therefore perfectly valid. You should always develop articles in a personal sandbox until they are of a viable size. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:44, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Phil Fischer
Although I am a sports guy by trade, I have been asked to write a story about Phil Fischer, the dot com developer who wrote the fox song so naturally I gazed over to Wikipedia to do some research but I noticed his page has been deleted. Is it possible to get the article before it was deleted so that I can use it in a piece we are doing for Mens Travel Magazine. Also, what was the reason for deletion? I'm curious as to why his page was deleted. Thank you so much in advance. Hi, I created the article about a new internet tv station, and it was "speedy deleted". Everything happened rather fast, and I didn't think to save a copy, so first of all, if possible please send me a copy of the deleted article if you can. Secondly, I would like to create the page again, and I would like to talk with you about this before doing it. The deletion has been done with the motivation that "there was no indication of the importance of the article". The very first version of the article was indeed lacking such indication, but I quickly added some text explaining the importance of this project.
Moreover it has to be said that at the time I created the page, the station had just made an initial limited broadcasting, and I have the idea that the deletion was done also because of this. Now the situation has changed, since today the regular broadcast has started, and the station will be on-line 24/7. I am convinced it is a very important project, as I have written about this importance in my later edits of the article. I can add the following reference appeared today: Will the Revolution be Televised? - The London Economic.
Please let me know what you think. Cheers, Oakwood (talk) 01:13, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Please read this. If you re-submit, might be an idea to use AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:56, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry about the email, I (unknowingly) had the "enable e-mail from other users" unchecked. Now it should work. About the AfC suggestion, I will have a proper look at that page. Cheers --Oakwood (talk) 00:29, 27 November 2013 (UTC) (PS sorry for the "capital/shouting" I copy-pasted the title of the page I was linking...)
- You still have not enabled email from other users! But now I see how much work you put in after the speedy tag was applied, I have decided to restore it to User:Oakwood/sandbox. There are several links but not one of them counts as significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 01:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry again about the email, now it should be (finally) ok! I have added three more references, and at least two of them should qualify as reliable. Do you want to have a look at it (in my sandbox)? Then, what's the best way to do this, is it ok with you if I just re-create the page? --Oakwood (talk) 02:13, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Independent and Mirror are certainly reliable sources. In a strange way I would consider Wogan a reliable source. So just move it back to mainspace. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 02:24, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks! :) --Oakwood (talk) 02:29, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
About deleted article Rossair (Australia)
Hi RHaworth, and apologies for annoying you yet again.
Apparently "Rossair" was Australia's "oldest continually running airline after Qantas" ("adelaidenow.com.au" is the on-line version of South Australian newspaper The Advertiser ). I've had a look at the deleted content, and this was never mentioned. I'm happy to go through the Wikipedia:Deletion review process. The first step is "discuss the matter with the closing administrator and try to resolve it with him or her first." Which is what I'm doing now.

- How on earth can an article survive for eight years without acquiring any evidence of notability? Even the casa.gov.uk links (which are independent evidence that it exists but not that it is notable) were broken. But I will content myself with just restoring it - if I sent it to AfD, I think there would be a resounding "keep". Please action {{refimprove}} and, possibly drop a note to YSSYguy (talk · contribs). — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:05, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Intervals
Hi RHaworth. I noticed you have deleted this page I created: Intervals. The reason I added it is because it is linked from these pages:
- List of project management software
- Comparison of time tracking software
- List of collaborative software
I would gladly remove unnecessary content/links if that's needed. Please let me know what I need to do. Jwofwp (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:27, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
- No need for you to do anything. All the unnecessary links have now been deleted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:57, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
I am a little unclear on the response. Is the page going to be un-deleted? Or will I have to re-submit another page without blog links? Jwofwp (talk)
- I am certainly not going to restore it. Removing links would serve no useful purpose. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your software is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:25, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the response. I understand the decision and I regret there is mis-trust assuming COI from my part as I don't own that at all. Jwofwp
RHaworth, this page should not have been deleted for lack of asserted importance because the page does include an indication of importance (age of product) and the software is clearly relevant for Comparison of time tracking software, List of project management software and List of collaborative software. The product cannot be listed at the comparison pages, however, without an article for the product/service, per the comparison page. Same reads: "Only place entries here that are links to actual Wikipedia articles about notable time tracking software. External links, redlinks, substubs, non-notable sites or sites that are not time tracking software will be removed." Jwofwp (talk)

Arab African International Bank
Hello, I published a page under the title Arab African International Bank and it was deleted. I'm new here to wiki and still trying to get a grip on how this works. I was planning on working on it now to add the links and citations as per wiki policy. Would you be so kind as to provide me with the text to edit in the sandbox? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fayed.yousry (talk • contribs) 08:00, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
- Why are you asking me? You had already placed a copy of the text in your sandbox three minutes before you wrote the above message. But I have restored all your edits. Your draft is about eight times too long. I have reverted to a version of reasonable size. We do not want a vast screed about the bank - people can find that on the bank's website. What we do need are references to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:54, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Dear Roger: I made the mistake of rescuing Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Meteor Shower 2012 from G13 deletion without reading the decline reason, which says it's a copyright violation. Anthony Gregory
Hello, I noticed that you salted Anthony Gregory. Well, while going through AFC submissions, I noticed that someone has written a reasonably comprehensive and well-referenced article about Mr. Gregory. Would you mind, if you think it is called for here, unprotecting Anthony Gregory so I can move the AFC submission into article space? Thanks. Jinkinson talk to me 00:17, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
- Seems like a reasonable request given that it has actually only been A7d once - it has been prodded, which means that it can be restored at any time as a contested prod and G7 is not an indication of the article's quality.
