Dr. Fredric Sheldon Brandt (born 1949) is an American physician, researcher, lecturer and author. He is a board certified member of the American Board of Dermatology, and holds membership in numerous prestigious organizations such as the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society, Florida Medical Association, among others. He specializes in skin care, with his areas of expertise including research, treatment and diagnosis of all issues concerning dermatology. Among the first to use Botox and fillers [1], Dr. Brandt had played a pivotal role [2] in getting both these substances approved for cosmetic use in the USA. He is also the founder of a Skin Care Line Dr. Brandt Skin Care. He personally tests [3] the products and procedures he uses in his clinic to test its outcome and efficacy. He is often referred [4] to as the “Baron of Botox” and “King of Collagen” and has the distinction [5] of using more of both than any other dermatologist in the world.
Early Life and Career
Dr. Brandt grew up in Newark. He obtained his medical degree from Drexel University and is board certified in internal medicine and dermatology. After completing his oncology and dermatology residency in Philadelphia, he set up his practice in Miami in 1982 and then subsequently setup another office in New York City. His tryst with skincare originally began at Sloan-Kettering where he specialized in research and treatment of leukemia. There he dedicated his studies to using natural elements to fight against the growth of cancer. Research Institute
Dr. Brandt’s Dermatology Research Institute located at his Miami dermatology office in Coral Gables is solely dedicated to clinical trials. Dr. Brandt and his associates perform clinical research on FDA-approved protocols, cosmetic ingredients and treatments. The Institute is currently testing the latest generation of muscle relaxant toxins, dermal fillers, and lasers with more than 200 patients enrolled in studies.

Dr. Brandt is the author of two bestselling books3 that provided information on the skin’s aging process as well as the ways and means in which one can maximize skin’s youthful potential.
