Chinmaya Gharekhan is a former Indian diplomat.

Served as Indian Ambassador to Vietnam in 1973-1976. He serves as India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and in January 1993 was appointed by UN Secretary General as special envoy to the Middle East peace process. Serves at present as President of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
