Hey, Hitro, I won't take up much of your time, just wanted to say thanks for welcoming me to Wikipedia, those links look helpful for getting me started. Stay fresh. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirligross (talk • contribs) 19:22, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am trying to made edits to the content but it keeps reverting back to the original text. I have proof of my content, also i visited Brazil and stayed with locals who gave me information about the Abarco tree which i would like to share on wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamescaan1 (talk • contribs) 20:17, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
the edits are to remove libellous unref'ed info as this article is about a living person. Please stop with your treats and read the edits Nonartinfo (talk) 20:41, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is better to discuss about it on the article's talk page before removing sourced contents. You have removed contents from some reliable sources including BBC and The Times. And yes, I am well aware of WP:ALIVE and WP:V. Hitro talk20:58, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The reason why I removed the content is that some people from the south east part of Nigeria called Igbos are inserting malicious comments to disparage the person of Mr Fani Kayode and Chief Obafemi Awolowo who belongs to another ethnic group called Yoruba in the south west part of Nigeria. There allegations are pure lies and an attempt to misinform the public. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Babuyanma (talk • contribs) 19:21, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, you are trying to remove sourced content from the article. Articles on Wikipedia are written with neutral point of view and they must be duly verified. If you have any objection with the sourced content then discuss it on the talk page of the article. Apart from that, please try to leave edit summary, it helps other user to understand the motive behind your edition. Happy Editing. Hitro talk19:32, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I thought I left you a message on why I edited the Femi Fani Kayode page? Why did you revert back to the lod lines which contains lies against the person of Mr Femi Fani Kayode?

Hi Siva, unfortunately, autobiographical articles are strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Please refer to WP:AUTO and WP:BIO, before creating an article about yourself or any living person. Regards.Hitro talk12:48, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I am using the page curation tool. I unreviewed the page before you tagged it for speedy deletion. The page curation tool automatically sent you this notice on your talk page. When I unreviewed the article, it was just 1 minute old, so i thought maybe we should give editor some more time to edit article. Anyway, I see no problem with you taging the article. This is just automated message, I was not even aware it was sent. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:04, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Wikipedia is not like facebook. We can't add people here. :) Just edit your User Page, you'll have your Wiki Page. Refer to WP:UP for more info about it. Happy Editing. :) Regards. Hitro talk22:00, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How do famous people get a wiki page why cant tbe the founder do one for me if I give details
Please read WP:1ST. You'll get all the information about what kind of articles are accepted on Wikipedia. If you satisfy all the required parameters then you can have your article on Wikipedia. But remember autobiographical articles are strongly discouraged on Wiki. Hitro talk22:12, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Bryan Yuile
The changes were not sourced because the source was the page itself? I guess the use of refuse in the one section is a little strong, but the length of his career was determined from the information in the page itself. I'm not a cricket fan or anything, just hit the random page button and found a page I figured I could improve in some way. I don't think a complete revert was in order, the page should at least have some sort of heading to break up the text. Crimsonhexagon (talk) 20:53, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, As per WP:NOTRS, Wikipedia articles are not reliable sources for any purpose. However, I have re-added the text contributed by you with support of a reliable source. I agree with you, complete revert was little harsh, I apologize for that. I hope, you'll keep contributing. Let's build an extraordinary encyclopedia together. :) Hitro talk20:15, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, thanks for the resources. What is your suggestion for the best way to be a decent editor? Attach to a project and work on those pages, or what's the best way of improving my editing skills? Crimsonhexagon (talk) 21:03, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Getting involved in a project where you have some sort of specialization, is the best way to contribute. Apart from that you can fight vandalism, there are 3 vandal attacks every 10 minutes. Twinkle is a good tool to fight against vandalism. You may want to read basic policies on Wikipedia, its available at WP:PG. Hope to see more contributions from you, sorry for late response, I was sleeping :p. Happy Editing. :) Hitro talk20:15, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've been slowly pouring over policy. There's a boatload, but being a reader of Wikipedia for almost a decade has caused some to sink in by osmosis. So is the idea to attach ones self to projects that you have expertise in as opposed to projects you are in love with? I'd like to contribute to articles on subjects that I'm passionate but it's an interesting juggle of do I have anything of value to add and can I add anything of value that isn't tainted by my POV. So far I'm finding a lot to fix just going to a random article. I went to school for journalism so editing stuff to a style is something that's easy for me. Sue-Ellen Welfonder
I did not remove the info on my page as a mistake. I removed it because I am Sue-Ellen Welfonder and I felt there was no need for such detail posted there. It was my intent to remove what I did. I left the basics. Please leave as I edited it. Thank you. Sue-Ellen Welfonder — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.9.177.74 (talk) 18:42, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Please read WP:AUTOBIO. Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged, unless your writing has been approved by other editors in the community. Regards. Hitro talk18:53, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I am just trying to tell/show what are the events that take place in the concerned festival. It is nowhere a promotional act and i don't think wikipedia can promote the festival for that matter. still, please specify what thing you consider to be objectionable and i will edit the section appropriately.
Thanks,
Javesh
Hello Javesh, Wikipedia articles, and other encyclopedic content, should be written in a formal tone. Standards for formal tone vary depending upon the subject matter, but should follow the style used by reliable sources, while remaining clear and understandable. Formal tone means that the article should not be written using unintelligible argot, slang, colloquialisms, doublespeak, legalese, or jargon; it means that the English language should be used in a businesslike manner. As per your this revision, terms like "Prepare yourself to meet world's greatest entrepreneurs, telling their success stories and unfolding their strategies, get acquainted with the latest product ideas and lifestyle solutions through start ups", "Plunge into violent flow of Techkriti'14 with Efactor , the entrepreneurial side of Techkriti, one of the biggest entrepreneurial platforms for college students, young entrepreneurs, established business personalities, venture capitalists to gather at one place and take entrepreneurship to heights, inspiring the Indian youth to try to the unusual road.'' etc. aren't suitable for an encyclopedia. You can re write these sections appropriately in an encyclopedic tone. Please read WP:Better for more info about it. Happy Editing. Regards. Hitro talk16:55, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please restore the article, I had re-written it when you inserted the copyright infringement tag into the article but didn't remove the tag after the rewrite, that's why another admin deleted the page. Please have look at it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akib.H (talk • contribs) 09:38, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, the admin who deleted your article can send you an email copy of the deleted content. I am sorry, restoring the article is out of my authority. Please contact him/her. Hitro talk18:33, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, it may be borderline case as per WP:CCOS. I do not think this kind of articles have any encyclopedic value. However, I do agree with your action. I made some researches, I dont think it will survive PROD, in case it does, then I'll take it to AfD. Regards. Hitro talk17:53, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me, I have little doubt this will end up as a delete too. For as far as the speedy goes, I asked myself: is this something that could be true. The answer was yes. I'm not sure, I'm not even sure if it is likely, but it definitely could be. Going PROD rather than speedy doesn't hurt, it just keeps the thing in mainspace for a week longer. That's an extremely small price to pay for not being 100% sure. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:06, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for keeping an eye out on the page, both you and User:Mark D Hemmingway. I've got a feeling that the other editor has a COI due to the tone of the edits, so we will probably need to continue watching the entry. I've left a warning on the editor's page, so hopefully that will deter any further promotional-ish editing. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。)05:31, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
