To-do List:

About Who?

So what exactly is this article about...Dirk Maggs or the Hitchhiker's Guide? If the former, it should be a {{bio-stub}}, not a {{sf-stub}}. Also, it needs a TON of more information.

The page STILL could use more information about Dirk Maggs, preferably information that isn't just a copy and paste from his "official website"! --JohnDBuell | Talk 03:46, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the page is a lift from the Dirk Maggs website, there is also now a wiki which has most of his work listed and details, currrntly some 400 pages long. davew 09:17, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An anonymous user made a large edit in November that was claimed to have come from an h2g2 entry. I'm not sure what the copyright status is for copying h2g2 entries into wikipedia, but if it feels like copyvio to you, feel free to fix it! --JohnDBuell 12:29, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Great the h2g2 entry is a lift from the Dirk Maggs website, Dirk has his own wiki at [1]82.6.93.2 20:46, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

So which came first? How do we know the same person didn't write both? *sigh* --JohnDBuell 21:27, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

removal of Press Comment section

I have removed the entire section "Press Comment". It consisted of a long long list of press quotations, which were apparently highly selective, given that they were all gushingly positive and many of them started or ended with ellipses. Even if this is the overwhelming opinion of the press, an encyclopaedia article should at least be selective, put the quotes in the right context and not give us a great wall of fragmentary prose. If there are dissenting voices, NPOV demands that they be heard. This whole section read like a press release, or advertising copy, not an encyclopaedia article. The material is still available in the history; please can we make more sensible use of it? --rbrwr± 23:44, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
