Tarar is a gotra of Jats found in Punjab in Pakistan; Haryanaa, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in India. Muhammad Rafiq Tarar is a prominent politician from Pakistan. In Haryana Tarar's are found in Dhani Miran in district Bhiwani. The Tarar's of Pakistan Punjab are muslims where as Tarar's of India are Hindu.
