Rough Play (Korean배우는 배우다; RRBaeuneun Baeuda; lit. "An Actor is an Actor") is a 2013 South Korean film about an actor who becomes a superstar overnight then hits rock bottom. It is written and executive produced by Kim Ki-duk, and directed by Shin Yeon-shik (The Russian Novel, Fair Love).[2][3][4] It screened at the 18th Busan International Film Festival, and will be released in theaters on October 24, 2013.[5]

Plot

Young is a nameless actor who dreams of becoming a big movie star. Then one day, he makes his breakthrough with a film and becomes a star overnight. He discovers a new hidden world of fame, power, and pleasure, but inevitably all things have a dark side, which puts everyone around him in danger.[6]
