Thank You

Thanks for your contribution to animal welfare. Animal welfare/rights is a part of my research interests. You might want to read this article:, The Decline of wikipedia http://www.technologyreview.com/featuredstory/520446/the-decline-of-wikipedia/ It summaries major problems of Wikipedia communities. You have already experienced some of the problem.

There is no need to feel some 'senior editors' knows more about truth or correct conducts than you. You have made good points. Wikipedia is a part of human society, the general moral rules should apply here too. I am not impressed by the hierarchical/masculine aspects of Wikipedia. An argument is valid or not should independent from who says it. We should have more intelligent, honest debate on this websites. This is one of the reason I don't use an account right now.

Have a nice day. 124.170.240.130 (talk) 03:34, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cattle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Regurgitate (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Temple Grandin

Hi. You recently added Temple Grandin to the See Also section of Animal welfare science. It is generally considered better to incorporate information into the text of the article rather than place a link in See Also, if this is possible. (Some editors even say there should not be a See Also section). Can I suggest that in this instance, you select one or two of Temple Grandin's representative works and write these into the section on publications. I did not revert your edit because I know you are new to this and it seems a little harsh to do that without explanation. All the best.__DrChrissy (talk) 17:56, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I did not see any issue of AslanEntropy's edits even if she is not new to this. Multiple editors noticed the OWN problem of DrChrissy in the past. The notice of the links is unreasonable. According to my research, Temple Grandin's work is under-represented in animal welfare and animal welfare science 124.149.100.102 (talk) 11:49, 6 January 2014 (UTC).[reply]
Welcome back 124.! I have not reverted the edit of AslanEntropy, I have only suggested what I believe is a better approach to incorporating information - therefore this can not be ownership of the article, simply constructive editorial advice. When you stated "According to my research..." surely means that any following statement is Original Research.__DrChrissy (talk) 18:55, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Anyone can conduct original research, it's perfect fine as long as they don't insert the OR into the articles without sources, like what DrChrissy did multiple times. I did not inserted any original research. If I add anything, I will provide sources,
  • my source was Google book ranking for keywords 'animal welfare', Temple Grandin's book appears in the first page of the results. In contrast, the book DrChrissy added into many articles many times, authored by Marian Dawkins, ranks outside 200 last time I looked .
  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Animal_welfare/Archive_3#Attitude_is_the_overall_definition DrChrissy's understanding of policies is often biased for her own interests. But she often pretend to be the correct interpretation of the policies]. Whoever see this kind of nonsense can just ignore it, or better report it.124.170.213.246 (talk) 21:52, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
