There are multiple issues in this article. First, and most obviously, it's replete with WP:PEACOCK issues. An obvious first example is the use of adjectives like "distinguished", but there are plenty more throughout the article.
The article is primarily edited by User:Songsign, who self-identifies on his user page as Mendis's son and agent, Paul-Marie Mendis. In addition to the obvious WP:COI issues, he is reverting edits ([1], [2]) made by other editors trying to bring the page within Wikipedia guidelines, and exhibiting issues with WP:OWN (presumably, he's new to Wikipedia and not familiar with its operation).
