I Camaleonti ("Chameleons") is an Italian pop group, mainly successful in the late sixties and in the seventies.

The group formed in 1962, in Milan. They initially adopted a beat repertoire, and had their first success with a cover of Small Faces' "Sha-La-La-La-Lee".[1][2] The turning point of the career of the group happened in 1966, when Ricky Maiocchi left the group to pursue a solo career and he was replaced by Mario Lavezzi;[1] from then the group gradually began to perform more melodical songs, which almost immediately achieved a large popular success.[1] Between 1968 and 1973 the group had four singles peaking at fist place and two at second place on the Italian hit parade.[2] They entered the Sanremo Music Festival five times between 1970 and 1993, ranking third in 1979 with the song "Quell'attimo in più".[1]
