Piers Linney (born February 1971)[1] is a "British" businessman, who is the current Co-CEO of the cloud-based IT business Outsourcery, and is best known for being a 'dragon' on the BBC Two business series Dragons' Den.

Linney appeared on the Channel 4 series The Secret Millionaire in 2011, where he worked in Wolverhampton at a Young Offenders' institution.

Early life

Linney's mother was originally from St. Philip in Barbados and his father was from Manchester, UK. His first job was working as a paper boy, at the age of 14, he stopped working through a newsagents and started buying and selling the papers straight from the supplier.[2]

Dragons' Den

In 2013, Linney joined the panel of the BBC Two television series Dragons' Den, along with new dragon Kelly Hoppen.

Personal life

Linney has two children Tiger and Electra, with his wife Tara, who runs a dance studio. He is a keen mountain biker.[3]

After studying law and accounting at the University of Manchester, Linney went on to land a job at City law firm SJ Berwin in 1995.[4]
