Phyllis King

Phyllis April King is an English poet. She never has been credited with co-writing any of Ivor Cutler's material though she appears on King Cutler, Dandruff, Velvet Donkey and is credited as writer on quite a few on this album. and Jammy Smears, with her own materiels

King, like Ivor Cutler, worked as a teacher, in her case, with special needs pupils.

King is an accomplished and exhibited artist and designed many of the Ivor Cutler album covers.

King has published a number of poetry and children's books.

Personal life

King was in a long-term relationship with Ivor Cutler for over forty years up to his death in 2006 though they did not live together permanently, preferring to retain their independence.

King has one daughter and lives in Wiltshire, England.
