FutureFuel Corporation is a chemical manufacturer publicly listed in the New York Stock Exchange. The company is one of the main small-cap companies in the US that develops and markets chemicals and biofuels.[1] The company is announced to replace A.O. Smith and enter the S&P SmallCap 600, which stands for the 600 most valuable smallcaps in the US.[2] The company owns 2,200 acres of land six miles southeast of Batesville, Arkansas. The symbol of the company in NYSE is "FF".


FutureFuel Corporation is estimated to be among the most beneficial company in the Biofuels And Bioproducts Industry. According to the newest figures in 2013, the company's share price at NYSE as increased by 65%, and is still trading above IPO price, which is very rare for biofuel companies, following several years of growth. Operations

The company operates in two segments: chemicals and biofuels.

Chemicals

The company has a wholly owned subsidiary named FutureFuel Chemical Company, which develops various chemical products selling to third party customers. The chemical segment consists of two components, which are custom manufacturing that produce chemicals for specific customers, and performance multi-customer specialty chemicals. [4]

During the year 2011, about 50% of the company's revenue came from manufacturing specialty chemicals.[5]

Biofuels

The biofuel segment mainly produce biodiesel, as well as petrodiesel. This operation segment is in central Arkansas.
