Steven 'Steve' Nathan Tyrone Lyons (born September 12, 1990) is an American actor best known for his role in the upcoming sports comedy Intramural. [1]
Family and early life
Lyons was born on September 12th, 1990 in Houston, Texas. From an early age, Lyons displayed an ardent love of sports and the performing arts. The youngest of three boys, Lyons grew up in the middle class neighborhood Braeswood Place and attended Mirabeau Lamar High School. At Lamar, Lyons was a star athlete and a part of the theater program. In 2001, Lyons was cast in the Houston Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. Lyons got the nickname "Lyon Cub" from his mother who often called him, "her baby cub." [2]
After graduating from Lamar, Lyons attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Electrical Engineering and pursued acting outside of the classroom. Lyons' earliest television appearances was on the CBS show "Let's Make a Deal" with actor Wayne Brady in 2010. Lyons' latest film is the independent football comedy Intramural directed by Andrew Disney and starring Jake Lacy, Nikki Reed, Jay Pharoah and Kate McKinnon.
