Babo

Babo is one of 13 characters of the Ugly doll franchise. Along with Wage and Ice bat, he is probably one of the most popular dolls.

Name Origin

Creator David Horvath has said [[1]] that the name Babo comes from the Korean word Babo, meaning "fool" or "stupid". It is possible that Babo's name could reflect the Hindu word baboo, which is the equivalent of "gentleman" in English.

Appearance

Babo are grey in appearance, however can also be found in purple. Babo has two buck-teeth peaking from his large mouth. Babo has also got three sturdy fingers on its hands and three toes on his feet. It also has bright yellow eyes.

Personality

According to the Ugly Dolls web site[2], Babo are rather dim-witted. However, they very protective and loyal towards their owner. Despite this, Babo are easily spooked by the dark. If something shocks it, it will not think twice about running away, and will send a postcard from where it ends up. Babo are referred to as curious and mischievous, therefore may need guidance and parenting by their owner. This Ugly Doll loves to travel, so owners must make sure to bring them to as many places as possible. Leaving an untrained Babo at home can result in money and cookies disappearing.
