Todd Summers is global health expert based in Washington, DC. Currently, he is a Senior Adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, at its Global Health Policy Center.
His primary focus is on international financing for global health, especially the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, for which he served as chair of the Strategy, Investment, and Impact Committee. In addition to work as an independent consultant, Summers has previously served with the ONE Campaign, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Clinton administration as deputy director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy.
In his personal capacity, he serves as president of the U.S. Fund for the Global Fund and board treasurer of AVAC.
He holds a B.A. cum laude in religion from Middlebury College in Vermont.
