Malaba, Kenya is a town in Teso District, Western Province, on Kenya's western border with Uganda.

Location

The town is located on the main Nairobi-Kampala highway, approximately 477 kilometres (296 mi), by road, west of Nairobi.[1]

A metre gauge railway also crosses the border at this point. The nearby town of Busia is also a busy border post. A proposed new standard gauge railway from Mombasa would pass through this town. [2]

Malaba, Kenya is the main town of Teso District. It had a population of 7,302 according to the 1999 census.[3]
