Request for photographs and images

To help address the many requests for photographs People-photo-bot has moved article talk pages from Category:Wikipedia requested photographs of people to Category:Wikipedia requested photographs of writers if it contains the template(s) {{WPBooks}}, {{WikiProject Books}}, {{WPJournals}}, {{NovelsWikiProject}}, {{WikiProject Novels}}, {{WPPoetry}}. Members of this project are invited to address the requests for images listed. Please note that some articles may now have an appropriate photograph and that the need-image flag has simply not been removed, this can also be checked using the Image Existence Checker link on the category page. If a page has been incorrectly moved please inform me on my talk page.

RfC for proposal at Talk:Alter ego

An editor has made a proposal on dividing the article Alter ego in three distinct parts or separate articles, as they have different meanings/interpretations in different fields. Community input is greatly appreciated. - Mailer Diablo 18:39, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

how find only new pages on literary works

Hi everybody, is there any bot that deals with newcomers for categories like, e.g., short story collections, novels, plays ... independently of when a work was published? Or maybe there is any other way to find out which articles that were started recently deal with literary works. Thank you, --Jackentasche (talk) 16:17, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brunei English (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) was ranked "high" importance to your project. As it is a dialect and not a literature article, is that assessment correct? -- 76.65.128.112 (talk) 05:28, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not in Front of the Children

I've recently gone ahead and created an article about the book, Not in Front of the Children: "Indecency," Censorship, and the Innocence of Youth.

Help with suggestions for additional secondary sources would be appreciated at the article's talk page, at Talk:Not in Front of the Children: "Indecency," Censorship, and the Innocence of Youth.

Thank you for your time,

Hi, guys. I think the section "Works" in the Wikipedia:Good articles/Language and literature is becoming too long (there are 392 so far). I'd suggest to split it into subsections divided by period of time like "Albums" and "Songs" in Wikipedia:Good articles/Music and "Films" in Wikipedia:Good articles/Media and drama. What do you think? Also, I've raised a question about light novels in Wikipedia talk:Good articles#Light novels in language and literature. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 19:41, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Susanna Kearsley

Greetings, literature specialists, can anyone vouch for the notability or otherwise of novelist Susanna Kearsley? The article states she won the Catherine Cookson Literary Prize, which sounds like evidence of notability, but it's a poorly referenced stub. I came across the article because someone added a mention in the article on Cruden Bay, saying that one of her novels is set there, and I wondered if this was noteworthy. --Deskford (talk) 00:37, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've just removed links to it under New Slains Castle and James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton - in the latter it just stated he was a 'minor character'. I'm not sure whether the Susanna Kearsley should be prodded (or AfD); the only refs are to goodreads, which I don't think is viable as I think it's a just a review site that anyone can post on? The other ref appears to be a blog? Comments from others more involved in author articles would be appreciated! SagaciousPhil - Chat 07:37, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed at Yashpal

I've been improving Yashpal (1903-1976), who is recognised as one of the greatest writers in Hindi literature and has been widely translated. There seems to be quite a lot of analysis/literary criticism available in the English language but I'm out of my depth when it comes to summarising this sort of stuff & worry that it will end up being a bunch of quotations. Can anyone offer assistance, please? - Sitush (talk) 11:15, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is a conversation going on at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2014 March 4#Male writers about the gendered categorization of author pages (particularly whether to use "men" or "male" writers). Further voices would be appreciated to develop a consensus on the standard amongst writer articles, Sadads (talk) 19:20, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AfC submission - 03/04

This looks like a good article, although some of it looks like WP:OR. Draft:Isabella Breviary. Could you have a look? Thanks, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 15:20, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox book request for comment

In August last year, all publication data in {{infobox book}} was merged into one new |published= parameter. Work began on migrating existing uses to the new format, until questions were raised about the effect this had on data granularity.

Any input and suggestions on a proposed fix, which keeps the new one-line per edition formatting while providing full data granularity would be much appreciated (centralised discussion here). Thanks. ‑‑xensyriaT 23:52, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, literature experts. This old Afc submission is soon to be deleted as a stale draft. Is this a notable essayist, and should the article be kept and improved instead? —Anne Delong (talk) 15:20, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Scope?

What is the scope of WikiProject Literature? It seems quite poorly defined; how would someone know if a topic is meant to be in WPLIT or not? -- Mikeblas (talk) 14:50, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

List of notable figures.

The Naturalism article could use a list of authors who wrote in this style. Like the Transcendentalism Article. 207.192.244.242 (talk) 15:54, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
