Humanities Edit-a-thon sponsored by the UW-Madison Center for the Humanities
This Edit-a-thon is dedicated to improving Wikipedia coverage in the Humanities and exploring how Wikipedia can act as a meeting space for the campus and community. It is part of the UW-Madison's Center for the Humanities 2014 Public Humanities Conference.
- Date: Friday, April 25, 2014, 1:30–3:30 p.m. CST
- Venue: Madison Public Library, 201 W. Mifflin St., Madison WI 53703, in the Bubbler Room
- Cost: Free
- Participants: The event is public. We welcome first-time and experienced contributors alike. No Wikipedia editing experience necessary; tutoring will be available for newcomers as needed.
- RSVP required: with the Center for the Humanities here.
- What to Bring: Please bring a laptop if you can. We will have some computers on hand. Consider preparing your sources in advance, if you have some in mind. Please set up an account on Wikipedia before the event, if you don't have one already. This basic tutorial should help you get started.
