Farming Simulator (Farming Simulator 2013 on PC) is a farming simulation video game developed by Giants Software. The locations are based on American and European environments. Players are able to farm, breed livestock, grow crops and sell all assets created from farming.

Gameplay

In career mode you take on the role of a farmer. Your task to expand on your "dated" farm and machinery. The main goal of the game is to harvest your crops/produce and sell them in order to expand your farming enterprise (e.g. machines, fields, animals and buildings). The players are free to explore, grow what ever they want and invest their money how they like. Players can do multiplayer sesions where they farm together, this is not on the playstation platform. Different types of vehicles and implements range from tractors, harvesters, and Miscellaneous, to plows, cultivators, sowing machines, sprayers, muck spreaders, slurry tanks, front loaders and many others as well.

Animals

You can buy three animals from the shop to even get more money but very slowly. Three animals are available [more from mods] to you: Chicken, Sheep, and Cows.

Chicken: Chickens do not require to be fed, just pick up the eggs every day [max is 57 per day] and deliver them to an egg store or farm shop. Required Equipment: Tractor and player picking up eggs and delivering them. Required mixing ingredients to get 100% productivity: none

Sheep: Sheep require to be feed but only grass. After some time they will start to produce wool. You can sell the wool at the spinnery. Required equipment: Mower, tractor, front loader, pallet fork [Wool trailers are optional]. Required mixing ingredients to get 100% productivity: grass

Cows: Cows need to be fed: straw, mixed ration [1 straw bale, 1 hay bale, and silage], and grass to get 100% productivity. The milk truck comes by often to pick up the milk though with mods, you can deliver the milk yourself and still get money from it as well. Required equipment: Tractor, tedder, windrower, mixing wagon, baler, front loader, loading wagon. Required mixing ingredients to get 100% productivity: Grass, straw, silage, and hay.

Note: Silage is made by dumping grass in a silo and fermenting it. Minimum fermentation is 15%.

BioGas

Farming Simulator 13 comes with a BioGas plant with four silos to earn oodles of money.

BioGas is pretty much made from chopped up corn being fermented. Minimum fermentation is 15%

Required equipment: Forage harvester, tractor, trailer.

Brands

Besides the mod brands [John Deere, Abbey, Belorussian, CLAAS, Kamaz, etc] the game comes with over 20 pre-set brands with names like: Fahr, Deutz-Fahr, Amazone, Pottinger, Krone, Buhrer, Kramer, SAME, Case IH, Agroliner, Krampe, Kuhn, Schluter, Lemken, Lamborghini, Kotte, Horsch, and many others.

1 - Lindner Unitrac DLC

2 - Titanium DLC

3 - Vaderstad DLC

4 - Old Farming Classics DLC [only one that is free]

5 - Marshall Trailers DLC [you can get some Marshall trailers as mods as well]

Reception

Critical reception

Farming Simulator 2013

IGN gave it a mixed review. Graphically the game's environment is far behind but the machines look good. Sounds are limited to the game. Even though the game is lacking in scenes it is a "unique business simulation that rewards you proportionally to the amount of work you put into it".[11]
