The Springfield College (TSC) was established in 1998, with an enrolment of eleven students. Student numbers have grown quickly and it now has an enrolment of 600 students, from Prep (pre-school) to Year Twelve.

The Springfield College is a joint initiative of the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church of Australia, and is operated by EDUCANG Limited.

It is a member of the Anglican Schools Commission of Queensland, linking it with schools such as Anglican Church Grammar School, The Southport School, St. Margaret's Anglican Girls School, and many of the state's most respected educational institutions.

The current campus, on Springfield College Drive, eventually will house just our Junior School (Prep to Year Three) as a centre of Excellence in Early Childhood Education. A separate campus will be established for our Middle School (Years Four to Nine) and for our Senior School (Years Ten to Twelve) within the Springfield development.
