Review with Myles Barlow

Review is an American comedy television series created by Andy Daly. Its first season premiered on March 6, 2014, on the American cable television network Comedy Central.[1] It is based on the Australian television series Review with Myles Barlow.[2] The pilot episode was directed by Jeffrey Blitz.[3]

Premise

The series is about television host Forrest MacNeil, a critic whose job is to review real life experiences, as opposed to movies, books or food. Viewers of the series (actors playing viewers for pre-established questions) submit questions or things to review and Forrest MacNeil will commit to make them happen under any circumstances even if it involves breaking the law.

Cast

  • Forrest MacNeil (Andy Daly) - the leading face of the series dedicated and committed to his job.[3]
  • A.J. Gibbs (Megan Stevenson) - Forrest's co-host
  • Suzanne (Jessica St. Clair) - Forrest's ex-wife. Forrest divorces her in episode three despite it being apparently "happy" marriage for the sole of doing his job after being asked to review divorce. The divorce leaves Forrest miserable, he goes on to try to win her back in latter episodes in a stalking-like fashion but most attempts are futile.[3]
  • Fred Willard as Jack, his father-in-law[3]
  • James Urbaniak as Grant, his producer[3]

Guest stars include Andy Richter, Ashley Tisdale, Jason Mantzoukas, Rich Fulcher, Emo Philips, Andy Blitz and Maria Thayer.[3]
