JobCentre Plus is the government funded employment agency facility and the social security office in the United Kingdom, often operated from a high street shop. It used to be the Jobcentre and a separate social security office, however they merged in 2002. They typically provide resources to help the unemployed find work, including posting vacant job listings using a computer system called Jobpoint, providing job-search counselling, and information about training opportunities as well as administering unemployment benefits.
