Wife or girlfriend

The personal life section says he married Shelly Stein in 1957 and they have three children. In the controversies section, it says he has a girlfriend named V. Stiviano. So, is he still married to Shelly Stein and has a girlfriend as well, or is he divorced from his wife or has his wife passed away.
