Károly Garam (born May 10, 1941 in Eger, Hungary)[1] is a Hungarian-Finnish cello player and the brother of violin player Lajos Garam. Garam studied cello playing in the Sibelius Academy under Vili Pullinen and Yrjö Selin.[2] He held his first concert in 1966. He is married to Sirkka Garam (née Saarikoski), the sister of writer Pentti Saarikoski. They have four children, Kati, Satu, Sami and Teemu Garam.
