Future Primitive is the title of both an essay and a collection of essays by John Zerzan. The essay, and most of the essays in the collection, can be read online for free.

"Future Primitive: The New Ecotopias" is also the name of a book by Kim Stanley Robinson.


Additionally, Future Primitive is the title of a 1985 film about skateboarding, produced by Powell-Peralta.


Future Primitive is also a hardcore straight-edge band from Southern California. Future Primitive formed in 2005. In 2006 they released an EP called "Expression Sessions", which was recorded by Vic DiCara of Inside Out and 108. More information about Future Primitive is available at Future Primitive's Myspace
