Melvin Keith Burns (born September 26, 1960) is the Assistant Special Teams Coach for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. He was previously the defensive backs coach at Ole Miss.[1] and before that, the head coach at the University of Tulsa during the years 2000 to 2002, where amongst his assistants was current Raiders head coach Dennis Allen. While at Tulsa, Burns had a coaching record of 7–28.[2]
